Workshop

The dispositions which spontaneously emerge from the papers, oils, enamels, waxes, become "Bodies, vapours, powders" that emerge from filtered atmospheres change themselves in rarefied impressions. The pathos that they provoke diffuses comfortable and intimate visual truths.

Says Carnevali: "I have manipulated the paper because it is ductile, warm, porous, has the ability to absorb and to reflect, is an instrument on which poetry is composed, it is a memory book within which impressions of history are told and left".
An authentic test of its production is a painting given, taken and then given back to the matter, shape and colour, then part and always returning every time to the same, enriched from sublime an inner feeling that it stretches to the conquest of a classified aesthetic taste, exclusive and privileged.

To the works of great dimensions small forms of 15cm x 15cm are replaced, always elaborated with the same method of embezzling matter in order to replace it with colour spots, indefinite allusive shapes, "live tawny rips red or rare openings of blue and lightening bolts, white men are becoming lean from papers applied on the wood and then deconstructed, consumed, recorded...
The forms, produced in great number and used in order to compose majestic works, have been defined also as "Tessereluoghi", of the matter that, through an informal but harmonic composition, becomes an expression of the identifiable matrix of the artist. Its personality and originalities are also in the symbolism of the elements that over time introduce in its works letters and numbers like challenges to the familiar.

Through intense periods and moments of creative reflection, search of shapes of expression and innovative materials, you are superseded by you. To the prevailing use of the black colour the use of clearer, spotted colours is replaced here and there from brushstroked small gold letters that resemble the medieval art and denoting a radical metamorphosis, in joyful sense in the comparisons of life. The artistic distance of Carlo Carnevali is distinct from an incessant research work, guided by an evolutionary spirit which can itself be called "work in progress", constantly finding ways to search and to experience new techniques and materials, also using the resources made available by technological innovations
